Floy Andrews
Since yoga found Floy nearly a decade ago many doors have opened. Back then, as a busy lawyer in a large firm, her new yoga practice provided the only real time for self-reflection. Within the year she changed jobs and began studying Ashtanga with Diana Christinson.
Floy's new schedule allowed her more time to practice Ashtanga, study Pranayama with Tim Miller and chant with her newly acquired harmonium. Over time these powerful practices reminded her of the essential beauty and poetry of life. In 2005 Floy began a sitting meditating practice as well, which provides a solid foundation for integrating the deeper inner peace found on the cushion into the challenges and joys of everyday living. Meditation is a natural compliment to Ashtanga as both teach us to listen deeply to the subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle messages that our physical and energy bodies channel.
Floy is currently training at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and leads Meditation classes at Pacific Ashtanga. Come sit and see what unfolds for you.
