Weekly Words 1.26.20Celebrating 2020 Chinese New Year
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” -Mary Oliver We are celebrating life and love.We are reminded of the preciousness of our days. We are blessed to feel a sense of urgency to live fully the moments of our lives. Ask yourself Mary’s question. Write down a few answers on a piece of paper. Place the paper in a special place, on a mirror or in your wallet; a place you will see this reminder of your intention for the moments of your wild precious life. You are the star and director of your movie. The movie playing in front of you now. It is a great honor to walk this path together, to share our adventures, and to inspire, love and support each other. Love, Diana 1/22/2020

Weekly Words 1.12.20“We should be choosing what we want to keep, not what we want to get rid of.” —Marie Kondō
Be intentional about surrounding yourself with who and what you love! ️ Remember that everything is ENERGY! This week, evaluate the energy around you in your life... Your body, emotions, relationships and aspects of relationships.... Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on Prana/energy both on our mats and in our daily lives. Through our Ashtanga practice we are systematically synchronizing breath and movement, while servicing our physical body, spiritual/mental/emotional body, AND our energy body. As we deepen and expand our breath, we are pumping our lymphatic system, which serves us physiologically. And as we create shifts in our energy self, we will begin to notice changes in our spiritual/mental self as well. This is a wonderful time of year to focus on clearing blockages within as well as without... “from your glove compartment to your colon,” as Diana mentioned this morning. HOMEWORK: Revisit the book, “Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui” by Karen Kingston, and explore Marie Kondō’s book, “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up,” as we approach Chinese New Year and create space to allow for new energy in this new year 1/8/2020
Weekly Words 1.5.20UNFOLD YOUR OWN MYTH by Rumi Who gets up early to discover the moment light begins? Who finds us here circling, bewildered, like atoms? Who comes to a spring thirsty and sees the moon reflected in it? Who, like Jacob blind with grief and age, smells the shirt of his lost son and can see again? Who lets a bucket down and brings up a flowing prophet? Or like Moses goes for fire and finds what burns inside the sunrise? Jesus slips into a house to escape enemies, and opens a door to the other world. Soloman cuts open a fish, and there's a gold ring. Omar storms in to kill the prophet and leaves with blessings. Chase a deer and end up everywhere! An oyster opens his mouth to swallow on drop. Now there's a pearl. A vagrant wanders empty ruins. Suddenly he's wealthy. But don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth, without complicated explanation, so everyone will understand the passage, We have opened you. Start walking toward Shams. Your legs will get heavy and tired. Then comes a moment of feeling the wings you've grown, lifting. I look forward to unfolding another year of adventure, courage, growing, possibility, support, love, compassion, joy, inspiration and light. Thank you for sharing your journey with me.
My mantra: Lucky me!!!! Gratitude & Big Love, Diana |
