Saturday, November 14
Definition # 1 – 11:30-2:00
Strength:the quality or state of being strong; bodily or muscular power
Flexibility:capable of being bent, usually without breaking (actual definition)
These are the most common understandings of strength and flexibility. On Saturday morning, David and Shelley will guide the participants through a full primary series while pointing out which area of the sequence or which asanas may emphasize one or both things.
Definition # 2 – 3:00-5:30
Strength:mental power, force, or vigor
Flexibility:susceptible of modification or adaptation; adaptable
In Saturday’s second class, Shelley and David will gather an inspiring selection of asanas from multiple series of Ashtanga and then break them down utilizing these two forces in harmony.
SUNDAY, November 15
Practice – 12:30-3:00
Led Intermediate Series (2ndSeries): In the first class on Sunday, students will be guided through the intermediate series with emphasis on applying what was learned from Saturday’s definitions. Everyone is welcome – no matter what level, come and have fun!
Definition # 3 – 4:00-6:30
Strength:moral power, firmness, or courage
Flexibility:willing or disposed to yield; pliable

Shelley and David will share personal stories as well as encourage open discussion and dialogue.
