Live in the Orange Zone - Day 2130 Days of Self Study, Meditation and Reflection Day 21 of living in the Orange Zone. We're officially in the last week of our Orange Zone and our pilgrimage, our 30 days of committing to transformation and self growth. Today I'm asking you to get your journal out and to write the word “Adventure”. Helen Keller said life is a daring adventure or nothing. Joseph Campbell has so many wonderful words of wisdom about this, “give a big hearty yes to the adventure” and “you say yes to the adventure of life”. I want you to write the word adventure. From inside, without using your head too much, more something inside, just let you tell the story of your latest adventure or adventures from years past. Write simple pieces about when you did something that was really scary. When you faced a dragon and were victorious. Something that you thought you would never do that you did. A challenge that was presented to you and you were able to become stronger because of it, become different because of it. Fill your page with your life adventures and enjoy being the hero or heroine of your story. When you're finished, just take a moment of reflection to realize that this is always a choice for us in life. When we're walking through it, sometimes it might not feel that fun or that we didn't ask for it. Use this exercise as an opportunity to to reflect on something that we will take forward with us in this next week, in the next two weeks, in the next year of our life, to continue to remember, to find that within us, to say, “I am the heroine of my story. This life, it is my adventure even in its challenges.” Invite yourself to put that in your thinking mind and feeling self so when we're constantly scanning our world, to not just be complaining about something in front of us, but to shift your energy and shift your thinking some time to just catch yourself and go, wait a second, I've done this before. This is an opportunity. This is your adventure. Say yes to the adventure by remembering all the times you already have.
