Live in the Orange Zone - Day 2230 Days of Self Study, Meditation and Reflection Today's day 22 of living in the Orange Zone. We have been consuming a healthy breakfast of gratitude every morning. Today we're gonna take the gratitude out of our bowls and into our lives. The quality of our thoughts becomes the quality of our lives. If I wake up in the morning and I have 17 hours, nine hundred and sixty minutes, how do I spend those precious moments? It's here. If I spend those precious moments thinking about something I'm worried about or something that upset me, if I spend my precious moments thinking about what I'm going to do tomorrow instead of being present in today, that becomes at the end of my day, what my day was. By the simple training that we're already doing in the morning and taking this into the moments of our life, we're going to get even better at it. We're gonna be able to direct our mind to go towards the things that we want to bring more into our lives, appreciation, gratitude, love, happiness, and joy. It’s this simple. It goes like this, I am so grateful for this view. I am so grateful for the sound of the wind chimes in the wind. I'm so grateful for these beautiful red flowers that are in bloom right now that I'm surrounded by. I'm so grateful for time with my friends. I'm grateful to be sharing this teaching with you. I'm grateful to have a community. The more I say that, the stronger that muscle gets where I'm just scanning my world and seeing all the things I'm grateful for. I'm not missing out on them because I'm seeing and I'm raising the vibration to say it out loud. I am grateful for the time I get to spend with you. I'm grateful that I live here. Join me today in the simple practice of taking your gratitude out of your bowl and into your life. As Annie Dillard said, how we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives. And I add to that, how we spend our moments is how we spend our days. Let's spend them filled with gratitude, appreciation, love and joy.
