Start Young! with Jenny Soto-Banks
Social and Emotional Learning through Yoga, Mindful Breathing, Songs, Games and Stories
This class is designed to support your young child in building resilience and life-long coping skills.
Through intentional songs, stories, discussions and games, children build their emotional literacy skills and develop a greater understanding of how to recognize, label and reflect on their feelings.
Through playful yoga and mindful breathing, children gain tools to help them regulate those strong emotions as they arise throughout the day.

Tiny Friends Big Feelings Jenny began learning and growing with children and families 20 years ago and has gained varied experience in unique educational settings throughout her career. She has been guiding children ages 3-6, student teachers, and families as a Child Development Specialist and Mentor Teacher for the past 8 years. Jenny’s Ashtanga practice began in 2010 with Diana Christinson at Pacific Ashtanga. Jenny incorporates her SEFEL training (Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning), knowledge of trauma-informed care, Ashtanga yoga training, mindfulness practices and nature photography in play-based and child-directed learning environments. She was awarded 2019 Orange County Early Childhood Mentor of the Year and was selected by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to moderate the closing session at last month’s Professional Learning Institute. She is currently volunteering in her community to inform and inspire educators and families who love and care for tiny friends with BIG Feelings. Jenny invites you to join the journey to ensure every child feels secure and seen. |
